China Welcomes Thailand-Cambodia Ceasefire as Regional Diplomacy Gains Momentum

China has welcomed the recent ceasefire agreement between Thailand and Cambodia after weeks of deadly conflict along their disputed border, with the truce praised as a significant step toward restoring peace and stability in Southeast Asia. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi highlighted China’s support for the agreement and stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to prevent renewed hostilities, as top diplomats from both countries meet in Yunnan province to solidify the ceasefire and discuss rebuilding trust and normal relations.
